Can’t Login With Google Authenticator Active Now

This is not resolved!! Google 2 factor authentication now fails with the exact same plugins I had previously on WordPress after I updated. The Forgot phone backup KBA questions will not even display. This is the absolute worst update performed on this plugin and it has been extremely reliable in the past.

Same here my quickest work around is close browser, clear cache and then I am able to log in. Worked few times since update ??

We are working on fixing the issues that you guys are getting. We have figured out it is something related to custom login url and also, rename wp-login.php plugin was conflicting with the latest release of our plugin.

Can you please let me know if you are using any plugin which customizes your login page? We are testing with all those plugin which changes the custom login page url. It will be better if you can mention the name of the plugins here that you are using to customize the login page Url, we will do the test with those plugins. Also, you can drop an email at [email protected] so that we can setup a screenshare session and provide the update.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused to you with the last update we had given. We have fixed all the issues that were reported with it and have released an update to the plugin today(3/11/2017 5:00 pm IST) – Version 4.5.5.

Our 2FA plugin had some conflicts with the plugins that change the custom login URL of WordPress. The latest update of the plugin is very stable and has been well tested with most of the WP plugins that generate custom login URLs. (to name a few: WP Cerber, Shield Security, rename wp-login.php, All in one WP Security, Siteguard. etc)

Kindly update to the latest version (4.5.5), and let us know if your issues were resolved and if your login with 2nd factor is smooth.

Custom login is most likely the issue in my case. As a security measure most experienced WP managers never present the WP-admin path for login. I’m glad that you figured that out but a little surprised that your coding didn’t consider that for updating. I will test this and let you know…LOL..after I hack into my sites to disable the version of mini-orange causing the issue. Also hope you fixed the kba backup.

Yes, we do understand that it is not preferable to use /wp-admin path for login. We have tested with almost all the plugins that generate custom URL’s, and have also fixed the backup method of authentication ( KBA ).

I can‘t login to my website with Google Authenticator. Nothing works. Im the Admin an need to Login to my page.

After entering password und Google One Time Passcode it goes back to the login page.
