Cant login "Website under maintenance"

    So I’m running https://www.swikks.com, and suddenly, when I tried to log in using “swikks.com/wp-admin, I get a “pop-up window containing this info: “Website under maintenance, password required”. This popup window comes up even if you only enter https://www.swikks.com. Why is this happening? My password won’t work, so I have no idea how to fix it. I tried to download the webpage and upload it using the same, and another database, but it didn’t make any difference.

    Have you tried resetting your plugins or your theme?

    It sounds a little odd that it would ask for a password, I would contact your host about that just in case. It could be a server issue, a file issue. Hard to really say, sadly.

    There we go! FINALLY!!

    After trying basically every other fix, I deleted my active theme from ftp, and I could login. The theme used timthumb, which denied me to login, (and also my host told me to remove becacause of threat). It turns out that the theme I was using “KingSize”, have been updated, and in the newest update, they have removed timthump, so now my site works perfectly ??

    I’ve searched far and wide all over the internet, and it turns out that this issue is quite common. AND the bitch is, that there are many possible solutions, not only one. So if you get this error, keep trying the different solutions out there! ??
