Can’t login using my admin user name and password

Here’s some things to try:
1. logout or logout with https://www.yourdomain.com/wp-login.php?loggedout=true
2. clear cookies
3. exit browser
4. make sure local firewall is not causing problem
5. login with https://www.yourdomain.com/wp-login.php
6. disable all plugins–if necessary read How to deactivate all plugins when not able to access the administrative menus?

If WordPress is installed in something other than the root folder please take that into account for the above url examples

Thanks for your response, but no it did not take care of my problem. I still can’t log back in.

I was just able to register, and then logged in to your blog.

I saw that. I got the email. I just can’t log on as the admin.

Got another computer to try from?

After resetting your password, of course.

You are changing the ‘Function’ to MD5 when you set the new password via phpMyAdmin?

I reset my password and it worked this time. I went in and reset it to the old password once I was on.
