    Hello,
I have this website on the wordpress platform. It was working fine till 2 hours ago, when i tried to login now, I’m unable to access it. I reset the password from phpMyadmin, but with newly set password also i can’t login into my account. Another problem the website is showing posts which were written about a month ago. Is this normal problem with wordpress or somebody has hacked my website. If it is hacked then please provide me some solution.
    Thank you

  • Hi!

What is the address of your website?

    Go to https://yourwebsitename.com/wp-admin/
(just replace yourwebsitename with the name of your website).

    Then click “Lost your Password?”.
It should send you a reset password link to your email and will let you choose a new password.

    Hope that helps!

    Hi @nikhilbhuktar,

Go to phpmyadmin and find your database and find ([prefix_name]_users). on this table find edit option on the very first line , and click on it , after that change password and must select on the dropdown list MD5 beside user_pass varchar(64) MD5.

    That’s it !

    Thanks

Hello friends thanks for your reply. I have reset the password of my blog but the problem that it is showing old post still continues. Let me clarify the whole scenario,
    1. I transferred my blog to vps a month ago on 11 Sept.
    2. On 4 Oct, I found that my blog is showing the posts that were published on 11th Sept & before & I could not even login.
    3. After repeated attempts I was able to reset the password.
    4. However, the posts that I published after 11th Sept also started showing up a day later.
    5. On 8th Oct, I again shifted my site from VPS to shared hosting.
    6. After that I published 3-4 posts, which were appearing till 9th Oct.
    7. But as it happened previously, my blog is displaying the posts before I made transfer from VPS to shared.

This problem is bothering me a lot. Is there any good solution for this. I’ve searched a lot on Google but couldn’t find any solution. (Sorry for being so long, but the problem is too complex to understand). Please help me out with this. Thank you

I’m glad you were able to get your password working!

I still am unclear what your issue is with old posts. Are you saying you are only seeing older posts, newer posts are not showing up? That they appeared for a while, but currently are not? While it may seem redundant, it is helpful if you not only describe what is wrong, but what you were expecting.

When you moved your site, did you carefully follow the instructions on Moving WordPress?

Find the posts that are not showing up by using phpMyAdmin. There are typically multiple versions of each post. Verify that one of the versions has the ‘published’ status. also verify the dates for this post are correct.

Dump the query passed to the ‘posts_request’ filter (for an index page request) and copy it into the SQL box of phpMyAdmin and run it. Are the missing posts returned here or not? If not, try to determine why. Is the query correct?

If the missing posts are returned in phpMyAdmin, something in your WP installation is filtering the posts returned. Try deactivating all plugins. Are the posts still missing? If so, try switching to one of the default themes, like twentyfourteen. You should be seeing missing posts at this point if they came up in the phpMyAdmin query run.

In your Dashboard, go to Post > All Posts and just manually delete all the old posts. You can use Bulk Edit to delete multiple posts.

@honey Silvas, I don’t want to delete the posts, my problem is different, the posts that I published were not appearing previously, which is resolved now.
    Thanks for your kind reply.

    @bcworkz,

I’ve changed the theme to default wordpress theme and it worked very well. However the post that I published didn’t came back, but the new posts are appearing without any conflicts.

    Thank you very much
