Can't login to wp-admin & all blog posts have disappeared

    Using a WordPress as a backend for my website;

    & more particularly;
    https://doubledotmagazine.com/portfolio/

    Recently have not been able to login on /wp-admin & /wp-admin.php due to a “ERROR: Invalid username.” When I try and reset my password my email address and username the following appears “ERROR: Invalid username or email.”

    As well,
    my wp-posts are no longer on my website. Ie. Featured post, blog posts ect.
    The only items that remain are images and text that has been coded into the theme.

    I have tried deactivating the theme & plugins via my ftp with no success. If anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated!

  • If you have access to your hosting panel, and can use PHPMyAdmin, open that and go to the wp_users table. See if your account is in the list and which email address it is using. Safest thing to do then would be to go through “Forgot password” with that email address.

    thank you for your response.

    I went into my PHPMyAdmin and my email is on the list.
    However when put into retrieve password and error still appears “ERROR: There is no user registered with that email address.”

    Getting the same problems on juicybeast.com as well: all pages are 404 and I can’t login to wp-admin nor retrieve the password because of error “ERROR: There is no user registered with that email address.”

    By looking at my database through PHPMyAdmin, I noticed that multiple tables were missing, like wp_users, wp_posts, etc, which would explain why I can’t login and why no posts / pages are working.

    I managed to copy the wp_user and wp_usersmeta from an old DB backup to finally login. There’s no content on the site though, so I might have been hacked, I’ll keep looking into it.

    In WordPress, there is more than one way for Rsetting Your Password . I find the phpMyAdmin method to be the most straight-forward

    This won’t work in my case, because you need the wp_users table https://d.pr/i/1aw9K. There was no way of resetting the password, because I didn’t exists as a user anymore. There was no wp_users table in the database.

    Do you have have good backup of your database taken prior to all these problems? If so, try restoring it.

    Alternately, ask your hosting provider if they have backup of your site taken prior to these problems. If so, ask them to restore it.

    I own 2 blog sites. the one is a .biz and the other a .com web address. They both open on the web with no problem and all the info is there.
    However,
    Today, for the first time in more than a month I tried to log into my web/blog with my usual email address,s but, wordpress keeps on responding with “invalid email address”
    Now, there is no way that I can get into my own site to do updates.

    PLEASE HELP.

    same issue as @einzti on my site. Changed password in wp_users, made it md5 and all that, but still doesn’t recognize the password, OR my email (which I also verified in the wp_users table). Please help
