Can't login to WordPress after changing domain name

  • Hi all, my WP account is hosted by Godaddy. I wanted to change the URL, so I changed the primary domain name in godaddy and updated the nameservers (new domain is not served by Godaddy).

    take a look at what I get when I try to access the WordPress login page:

    https://mymexicodream.com/wp-login.php

    as you can see it looks quite different from normal wp.com/login and also if you go to my URL mymexicodream.com AND when I put in my username and pw it redirects to the parked old domain, I can’t login to wp. I understand there is some configuring I need to do in wp but since I can’t login. Godaddy told me it can take up to 48 hours for new primary domain to take effect but how should this affect my wp login? Godaddy support wasn’t able to help, they can’t find anything wrong with my settings.

    It looks fine to me.
