I was trying to test this plugin to see if I want to purchase. It seems to create my staging site without any issue. However, when I go to the site and attempt to login, it won’t take my login and password. It just refreshes the two fields to be empty and gives no error message.

I deleted the staging site and tried again (twice), and I keep getting the same behavior. I have tried both my account name and my email, but neither work. Per the instructions above, I tried to exclude wp-content/cache, but it isn’t listed, and the only security plugin I have is Akismet, and I unchecked it.

I’d be happy to attache the log file, which I created, but I don’t see anyway to add it to this posting unless you just want me to paste it in the post…

    Thanks–

ok. I tried not including ANY plugins when I create the staging site. It doesn’t help. I still can’t login… The behavior remains the same.

I looked at the suggestions at https://wp-staging.com/docs/troubleshooting-try-this-first/#Can_not_Login_to_Staging_Site. I don’t see an “Access Setting” option on the Settings page. I tried “Disable Admin Authorization”, but I still got prompted, and the prompt behaved as before :-(. If anyone has a suggestion, I’d appreciate it. I’d really like to get this working.

    Thanks!

@gasparal I am very sorry for the delay. I haven’t been notified by www.remarpro.com about it.

Could you send details about your staging site to support [at] wpstaging.com?

    About authentication:

Disable it first, then create a new staging site. This should be working.

    Cheers

I will do that. I think www.remarpro.com just woke up or something ;-). I just got a bunch of notices…

I did disable admin authorization first (and save the setting) before creating a new staging site. Anyway, I will send you details shortly.

    Thanks–

    Hi Al,

just a note here for other user with same issue:

This is fixed in recent version.

    Hi Rene,

Your fix worked fine on our test site. Thank you very much! I tried installing wp-staging on another site, and it is exhibiting the broken behavior. Is your new version available from Add Plugins or should I wait a little longer?

    Thanks–

Hang on. It gave me the unformatted login page rather than the nice wp-login form, but that page actually accepted my login and password; so we’re good. Thanks again!

This looks like a temporary caching issue (already purged cache?) or is the style repeatable missing and broken?

I think it is a caching issue. I’ll play a bit.

    Thanks!
