Can’t login to new installation…

  • Well, I’m trying to install WP. I’ve installed older versions and b2 before with no problems. Everything seems to be fine. wp-install.php runs with no errors but then the login page won’t take the temporary password that wp-install.php generates.
    Any way around this? What could I be doing wrong? When I clock on “log in” from the last step of wp-install.php, it already says “Invalid Password”, before I even click the login button.

  • Sounds like a cookie problem. There are several posts about this already on the boards. Do you have any firewalls up? I had to turn off Zone Alarm to get into my blog the first time, then I had to add the site.

    Thanks. I got it running by bootting into Windows and logging in using Explorer (Was in Linux with Firebird). Now everything is up and well.
