• I am seeing multiple wordpress sites get hacked as well, all “user_login”‘s are changed to “admin”.

Update: I managed to get back in the sites.

But now I am wondering why this hack keeps happening. I change the FTP password, the WP password and the MySQL database user password and it keeps getting hacked. How can I put an end to this hack?

    Thanks!

Those folks, whose name I redacted are scum. But these are public forums and we cannot block them.

You’ve been hacked. Get a fresh cup of coffee, take a deep breath and carefully follow this guide. When you’re done, you may want to implement some (if not all) of the recommended security measures.

If you’re unable to clean your site(s) successfully, there are reputable organizations that can clean your sites for you. Sucuri and Wordfence are a couple.
