Can't login into my Admin panel on Localhost

need your wise advice.
I have installed wordpress and configurated MAMP, worked fine. I saved login and password, but now I got message that the password is wrong.

I can’t access my Admin panel ?? Tried different combinations. No luck.

1. I sent myself email with forgotten password, I had message “Check your e-mail for the confirmation link.” Never receive this email ??

2. I went to phpMyadmin, changed user_name and user_pass to “admin” everywhere, tried to login – still don’t work.

What I’m doing wrong and what went wrong?
