• It’s a nice looking plugin, but kinda useless as you can’t develop a website with a team of administrators, graphic designers, editors and authors. Would upgrade to 5 stars, if that was fixed. And/or the ability to add in custom code (eg. forms). You can’t turn off the default form and add your own using one of the many WordPress newsletter plugins.

But for a quick and easy fix for a solo web designer/blogger it’s OK. I think there’s much better “coming soon” plugins out there TBH.

Hi Garrett, are you saying you do or don’t want it showing in one of those other roles were to log in? My interpretation from your email is that you would want them to see the site while it’s being developed. The plugin actually does do that – pretty much anyone who has logged in should see the site, not the Coming Soon page.

If it’s not behaving this way for you I’d be happy to take a look around your site or if you want to capture an error log I could see if something else is going on with the site (easypiewp.com describes how to do this).

Do you have an cache plugin running? Sometimes that interferes and causes the wrong thing to be displayed. (Setting the cache plugin to ‘not use cache’ for logged in users may help if this is the case.)

    Bob

It’s not being cached, I have no idea what’s going on. I’ll let you know once I figure it out.

This is another issue entirely, however when clicking “Add your own review” this post isn’t being edited like it should when changing your review… Not sure what to do there buddy, I even just added an entirely new review but it’s not showing up.

@garratt? I’ve marked your other account garrattcampton as inactive. Please don’t use multiple accounts that way.

Jan it looks like Garratt wanted to change the rating on this from a 3 to a 4 I believe. It looks like the 4 went through as a new rating however this 3 is sticking around. Can you either change this to a 4 and remove the other one or remove this rating? Thanks

    Bob

Being that I haven’t logged on or off, I don’t see how another account was even used. W/E

Jan, there’s something seriously wrong with the login system/cookies. I started my PC this morning to find I was logged in to the “garrattcampton” account. I only use 1 browser (Firefox) and don’t log out of the support forums or WordPress. I theoretically should still be logged in under “garratt”.

So I tried to log back in the “garratt” account, however passwords were incorrect. I reset my password and found no emails in any of my 5 possible email accounts. Checked spam folders etcetera.

I tried multiple times to login to “garratt” and couldn’t. So I reset the password on this account (gcampton – my first account). Which was at one point banned from the forums for complaining about an update. And was then later unbanned by Matt Mullenweg (after I tweeted him) or one of his helpful staff.

This constant login and out is driving me crazy.

Except for suggesting you start a new support topic about this I really don’t have much to say about that.

Cookies work and you are able to log in. The other accounts weren’t banned they were marked as inactive (using multiple accounts at the same time really is frowned upon).

I don’t know why you are having a problem but something about your setup seems to be making it difficult for you to login with those old accounts.

Yeah I get that. At one point the domain kustcom.com.au expired, I let it lapse as I was focusing on international clients (with the .com TLD). This account was assigned to the .com.au. So then made a new account with my gmail account. Then at some point couldn’t log in so made yet another account under the kustcom.com TLD, I think. And of course this all happened over a number of years. (4+ years)

So I’ll stick with this one, as the TLD is now in my control and should continue to be, and passwords up to date. If I have any problems I’ll start a new thread.
