I am trying to move my site from a sub-directory (seattlegeotech.org/test) to the root (seattlegeotech.org). I am following the “Moving Directories On Your Existing Server” section from Moving_WordPress.

I believe that I’ve followed the steps very carefully. Something to note is that when I get to step 6 (Save Changes). I am immediately kicked out of the dashboard. I am assume this is ok, because I am point it in a different direction. I then move the files using an FTP program and have included the hidden files. When I go to log back in using “seattlegeotech.org/wp-login.php”. I get 9 warnings, and error saying “Cookies are blocked due to unexpected output…” and the WP login form. It just reloads the page when I try to log in.

I am positive that cookies are on and that nothing has changed with my browser. Thinking that I did something wrong I walked the steps backwards and was successful in restoring my site back on the sub-directory. Going forward again i ran into the same issue.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
