• i own 2 websites and last night i tried to log on to one and it would just load and then get this message ‘Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to awesometech.co.uk’ i tried it on firefox and get the same error saying ‘The server at apsites.co.uk is taking too long to respond.’ once i try to log on it can no longer view the site until i turn off and back on my internet.

Both of the websites are hosted with 1and1, i had not changed anything before that started happening

  • There have been several threads today on this same issue with that host – you’ll need to contact them.

My site is also hosted with 1and1 and I’m having the same issue. I’ve asked people on my FB page to go to my site and it loads fine, which it did for me until I tried to login into my WP dashboard. Now various browsers won’t load my page!

Also I not able to connect via FTP but I know some people on here are with GoDaddy and they’re also having problems, so is it WP?

Are you still able to access your site after you’ve tried to login into WP?

My two sites are visible via www, but cannot open in admin for both. All I get is a index list of files, but cannot open anything — gives safari error.

Yes, as noted above, we’ve seen many problems like this today – have you contacted your hosts?

well surely it isnt our hosts? must be wordpress…?

Yes I have but it’s weird that it’s happening to people who are using different hosts.

My website is hosted by GoDaddy, and I’ve had the same problems for three days. I get a 103 error code, and I’m attempting a login on chrome, but had the same problem with IE.

Just throwing this out there, but I downloaded Chrome the other day…could this be a problem?

I’ve tried with different browsers and having the same problem. If I use someone else’s WiFi I can access my site but if try to login into WP it fails then I can no longer access my site.

I am having the same problem, and I am with 1&1. I am new to WordPress, only had my blog for about a week.
I am unable to view my blog https://www.beautybestfriend.com and am also unable to log in to the control panel https://www.beautybestfriend.com/wp-login. Whenever I try to access either of these pages it just times out and says ‘This page can’t be displayed’.
Any advice? This isn’t very good service, I have only had my blog up and running for a week!
    Not using Chrome, using IE.

I still think it’s a host issue, but have you cleared all caches and cookies in your browser or tried another browser? You could also try clearing your DNS – https://www.whatsmydns.net/flush-dns.html
