Can't log into Dashboard when URL rewrite enabled

  • I installed WordPress to a hosted Parallels Plesk 10.2.0 platform and all went ok once url rewriting was turned off in IIS (this had been causing the installation to fail).

    I then asked them to re-enable URL rewrite but since they have done this I cannot log into the Dashboard (the page just refreshes).

    I need URL rewrite turned on for SEO pruposes to redirect https://www.mydomain.com/index.html to https://www.mydomain.com

    Has anyone come across this problem themselves & know a way round it?
