Can't log into blog using www.remarpro.com

    I’m going to blow a fuse. I can log into www.remarpro.com here but when I try to comment on another blog using this site it just won’t let me log in. Keeps telling me my username/password is wrong. This is the page I’m trying to post on

    I don’t have a blog myself so haven’t downloaded any of the versions – I just need to be able to comment on other blogs

  • I’m not sure you read the entirety of my reply in the other thread:

    That being said, www.remarpro.com is in no way connected to any other wordpress site, so by registering here – you have not registered anywhere else.

    IN a nutshell, you must register to each site independently. www.remarpro.com sites are in no way connected.

    Yes, I see that

    Now you need to go register for whatever site you are trying to comment on. www.remarpro.com registrations allow you to post here, on www.remarpro.com. Nothing more.

    Right. All www.remarpro.com sites have the same login screen (unless the site owner customizes it)

    However, that just means the site is using www.remarpro.com software.

    You STILL need to register with that site. I’m not sure how to state this any more clearly, your login here – on the www.remarpro.com forum – ONLY works here. It does not allow you to login and/or comment on any other site.

    www.remarpro.com sites are NOT connected. You need to register to each and every site independently

    To back the Rev up here, yes, you’ve misunderstand something.

    A site that USES WordPress software and self hosts is not RUN by www.remarpro.com.

    It just means they use the software. You have to create an account with that site directly. Your ID here ONLY has bearing on sites that are www.remarpro.com domain’d (i.e. codex.www.remarpro.com, www.remarpro.com, make.www.remarpro.com, buddypress.org and bbPress.org … and probably glotpress.org )

    Individual BLOGS? Not so much ??

    Want to try logging in to my site? You can’t. And I use www.remarpro.com software. ?? My login data is 100% sacrosanct to my server.

    Ok thanks for your help. I didn’t realise that you could customise your blog to include passwords. I commented on a blog, under WordPress.com using my password for that & assumed I could do the same here.

    It is easy to confuse the difference between wordpress.COM, and www.remarpro.com for those who don’t use the software!
