Can't log in via local server anymore

Hi jazzyjoyner,

Make sure that your siteurl and home URL are pointing to your local host address.

There are several ways to do it. I prefer to change the URL directly in the database.

Let me know if that helps.

If you changed it in your setting then yes the only way to correct that issue is to login to phpmyadmin and change the url in the wp_options table.

I just downloaded phpMyAdmin but can’t really seem to figure out what to do with it now…
I’m really new to all of this so easy is the best way for me at the moment ??

Are you using MAMP (Mac) or WAMP (Windows)?

MAMP for Mac

Ok. Check out the steps below:

1. Start MAMP.
2. Click ‘Open start page’.
3. In the top menu, click on ‘Tools’ -> ‘phpMyAdmin’.
4. On the left side, click on your database name.

Next, follow the steps (starting at #5) here.

I’ve been there too! Ha.

Oh wait… now the whole site isn’t working properly though. Only my homepage is working, whenever I click on a post or category in my menu I get a blank page.

p.s. haha glad to hear I’m not the only one

Edit: when I click on a page/post the first time nothing happens. When I then refresh it does work.

Did you change both the siteurl and home URL?

Also, resave your Permalinks.
