Can’t log in to my local WordPress Site after installing XAMPP on new Mac

If you can load your WordPress site in XAMPP, then use the Forgot Password link :
https://localhost-whatever/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

Or, open phpMyAdmin from XAMPP, and add a new user / password :
https://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-reset-a-wordpress-password-from-phpmyadmin/

But, this is only for the db.
Make sure your db user has been given GRANT ALL access to that db.

I tried the forgot password link below the entering area, and it said there’s no related account to the mail address..

I already added a new user before, this didn’t work too.

The user has GRANT ALL access…

I don’t know what to do tbh…

Assuming that you double checked the db_name in the wp-config file with the db in XAMPP you are actually connecting to ?

Also, check your table prefix in the db compared to the setting in wp-config :

What do you exactly mean by “db_name” in the XAMPP?

Yes! It’s just called “wordpress”… and I think this shouldn’t be the problem as the normal page is loading… or am I wrong here?

Take a look at your php error logs.
If they are not turned on, you can initiate them by adding this to your php.ini file:
error_log=”C:\xampp\php\logs\php_errors.log”
