Can't log in to admin panel

  • Our blog (chimpsanctuarynw.org/blog) seems to be working fine, but no users can login to the admin panel. It either works for a second, but we can’t get to a second page, or it immediately returns a 404 error. We were in just fine yesterday and nothing was changed (no new plugins, etc) since then.

    Try manually resetting your plugins (no Dashboard access required). If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

    If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via FTP or SFTP, navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

    Hi, I would very much like to get into my website to change things, update whatever. It’s been months now since I was last in the website, have read and read and tried and researched endlessly how to get into my Admin login, my password everything is fine. I have read a line like this: can’t get into my Admin etc. many times, but whatever I try it does not work. After I upgraded to word-press 4.0, that was it, I am sad, upset and desperate.
