• Hello dear fellow admins,
I have several pages and all work fine – except one.

I wanted to access my admin page in guldgubber.de (www.guldgubber.de/admin) and change some contact stuff and comment settings, but it keeps saying:

    “This page isn’t working.
guldgubber.de is currently unable to handle this request
    HTTP ERROR 500”

Of course I had a look around in this forum and tried to update my WP version via ftp. I updated wp-admin and wp-includes – at least I told the ftp program to do so and it uploaded stuff – seems legit. (though the last modified date on my server in my ftp program didn’t change… I told it to overwrite the old…)
I updated the login WP php, nothing changed. (same with the date though – I don’t know, what I did wrong there…)

I cannot access my dashboard nor does a login screen appear (as does on all my other websites, where it works perfectly). I am not sure, when I updated the wordpress on that site, but I think, I updated all my sites somewhere around march – but I might have forgotten about that one, because I was quite busy.

    What did I do wrong?

  • Hi,

Please set WP_DEBUG to true, you can check here how to do that and then try to access your wp-admin. Please check if it’s showing any error.

    HTTP ERROR 500

It should be logged by webserver into error.log , with location and reason of this error. Can you look for errors log? Should be something “Fatal” near the end of file.
If you can find this file, you can ask your webhosting support where it is.
