Cant log in after install

  • Total noob here; never built a site or used wordpress so bear with me.

    I have my domain through GoDaddy and hosting with HostGator.

    I uploaded WordPress using my HostGator control panel, and when I access my URL the default wordpress screen appears. However, when I click ‘log in’ on the sidebar under ‘meta’ I cant log in, and when I try to retrieve my password using just my log in name or email address it doesnt recognize any of them. Ive tried every email address I have and every user name I can think of.

    I dont even remember signing up for or setting a WordPress password, I just downloaded WordPress, followed the 5-minute install, and that was it.

    Help?

    nevermind. ive been at this for 2 days now, but 20 minutes after i make this post, i figured it out.

    H ?f you access to your database from your hosting panel. You can reset your password manually. You must find “phpmyadmin” and login it in than browse users table and than edit whic user want to change yur password. Thats All.

    pl help i cannot log in into the site

    did you make and change to cause the problem like add a plugin or change themes.
