• Hey guys and girls, I was hit by the elusive porn redirect bug so I eventually deleted everything and started over from scratch. I installed Wordfence and put on a super tough password and limited the number of login attempts. I guess I made the password too tough, because now I cant remember what it was. I requested a password reset through the login screen but the email never came though. I found a post that said to rename the wordfence listing the in the plugin file via ftp, so I did that. Still, the passwords I tried were wrong. I found another post that said to simply delete the wordfence folder via ftp and tried that. Still nothing worked. Next, I found a post that said to add the line of code to via ftp to the function.php file. Tried that, which reset the password to “password” and instead of telling me that it was a bad password, it just reloaded the admin login screen. If I put in a known bad password, it would tell me it was a bad password. I gave up on that option. Next I tried going into MyPhpAdmin, and changed my admin user to a different email, still nothing came through after requesting a new email reset link. I then changed the password via MyPhpAdmin…nothing. Im about to hit the tipping point on this. Any ideas? What info do you guys need to help me figure this one out?
