can't log in

  • hello!
    i lost my phone and I didn’t write down any back-up codes for my account. to be honest i didnt even realise I had two-step authentication enabled. Is there any way for me to regain access to my site with just the email address access?

  • Have you also forgotten the password to your WordPress website (admin access)?

    Is the 2 step authentication from a plugin?

    If so, you can disable the plugin either through FTP or through the database, do you have access to any of those?

    I’m afraid all I have is access to the email address. I assumed if I forgot the password this would be enough, but apparently this 2-step thing had been activated and directed towards a very old phone number. Is there nothing I can do?
