Can’t Log In

    I can’t log into WP. Even after restting and receiving new pw via email, the login screen simply returns.

    I’ve found various previous posts with “can’t log in” topics, but don’t see any concrete resolution or fix to the problem.

    Any suggestions? Very frustrating and annoying.

    Make sure your Options->General WordPress and blog addresses are correct.

    They are. I’ve logged in with no trouble many times before. All of a sudden, I cannot.

    Any other ideas please? Is there a paid help support offered anywhere for WordPress? I really need to get this solved fast.

    are you sure its not a cookie problem? maybe you can try with another browser…

    or delete your cookies

    if there are CAPS on it your name or password may not work it is case sensitive

    Thanks for the replies.

    No, it’s not cookies, CAPS, or anything like that. I’ve closed all browsers, reset password, even rebooted my PC. I just can’t log in at all.

    There has to be a fix for this. Very frustrating!

    Resolved: Turns out my inability to log in was being caused by my eTrust Personal Firewall. I was able to log in from a different computer, but still not my own. After some trial and error, when I shut off the firewall, I am able to log in. When I turn the firewall back on, can’t log in again.

    I don’t have trouble logging into any other web apps, just wordpress.
