Can’t load version file http_request failed

    Hi,

    The Wordfence scan is telling me that I need to update to WordPress 5.2.3 (AFTER a new scan) but I have already installed 5.2.3, as displayed at the bottom of my admin panel by the plugin “WordPress Version”.

    The only odd thing that I have noticed is that when updating I was getting a message “Can’t load version file, http_request failed.

    Have you any idea what the version Wordfence thinks I am on is different from the version that the WP dashboard thinks I am on, please?

    Can you please quickly deactivate and reactivate Wordfence, then run a new Scan and let me know if it helps?
