Can't load Text Content to Frontpage after adding Meteor Slide Responsive Theme

Hi!!

my website is https://www.SilverHoundDogWalking.com
and I’m currently using the Responsive Theme. I have made a couple of changes to the theme via the child theme, which included to add the meteor slide to the front page. Now my problem is that underneath the 3 widgets i’m not able to write any text anymore (which should only show up on the frontpage).
In addition i would love to have the option to add the sidebar widget as it appears on all the other pages as well.
If you could please point me in the right direction, that’d be great!
