• I had to change a few credit cards recently but forgot to update my auto renewals. My website went down and I figured that was the reason. I paid all the yearly and monthly dues I owed, waited a few days for things to reset. But there’s still nothing. I can’t load my site at all, on any browser (I’ve tried different computers and devices, too). And I can’t pull up the WordPress admin page either.

    The website is kanemckeown.com

I’m using (I assume), the most recent version of WordPress. The domain is registered through Domain.com and it’s hosted via BlueHost.com. I haven’t made any changes to code recently. And the last time I did so, everything was working fine.

I legitimately don’t even know where to start with this. Can someone point me in the right direction, throw a few suggestions at me?

these are the issues that I would start with:
have you spoken directly with a representative both at bluehost and domain.com to be sure your accounts are all paid to date?
is your content still available in your bluehost account?
do you have a backup of the website from before credit card expired?
can you login to your bluehost account to see any content in your database or in your files?
can you access anything via your previous ftp credentials?

I’ve got help tickets open with them, currently waiting to hear back. I just think it might have something to do with WordPress. I’ve had issues with my hosting and domain before, but the admin page has always worked. I’m concerned that I can’t access anything related to my website.

Also, I’m pretty clueless about… well… most of this. All I do is troubleshoot and hope. Can you explain what you mean by my FTP credentials?

FTP credentials are related to your webhosting account and give you access to a variety of files.

If you can login to your hosting account you will be able to get a better idea of the situation.

If your webhost provides a control panel, you will be able to see if any of the WordPress files are still available and you can probably see if there is a database file still available that would contain your website stuff.

Can you login to your webhosting account?
