More detail on my problem. When I attempt to download a document or photo into a blog, it skips the place where I can browse and goes directly to “choose files to update”. When I click that box, nothing happens.

I also looked through the list of questions, and it seems others have had the same problem, but no response to question. Anyone help?

    Still looking for help. Suggestions?

Hi Diana – have the same problem and still no answer from WP.
I tried to upload the photos with help og nextGEN gallery – (it is a seperate widget you need to download from plugins).
    And it actually works.
Would recommend you to try – it may be an alternative until they fix the – apparently – common WP problem at the moment.

    Hi all,

I am also having trouble getting the 1 pic. that was successfully up loaded to appear on my site. Any suggestions there?

i try from the box bellow, from browse….i choose from my harddrive, then I drug the pic from it….and it work!!

I’m also having trouble uploading photos… so any type of help I can get will work.

Why isn’t WP addressing this email?

    peace!

I was successful at uploading a picture but it doesn’t show up so I guess nothing is really working….

Why isn’t WP addressing this email?

This type problem has been addressed in the forums here a lot, but it’s a difficult because there could be so many causes. Server settings, software that is on the server (or not), file and directory permissions, and file upload paths.

First, check your wp-content directory and your uploads directory (if there is one in wp-content) and see if the permissions is set to 777. If not, change the permissions. If there is no uloads directory in wp-content, then create one and set to permissions to 777 — it could be that you server isn’t allowing WP to create this directory.
