I’m trying to add the header & footer templates for the Matour theme in JEG Elementor Kit but when I go to create the header or footer it doesn’t give me the option to select a template. The gray folder icon doesn’t appear at all. I have already imported the header & footer templates using Envato elements. Please help.

    Hello @chellzo,

We apologize for any inconvenience you’ve experienced. Usually, if there’s an error on the frontend or in JavaScript, an error message will be displayed in your browser’s console. Could you please copy and paste or provide a screenshot of the error message? This will help us investigate the issue further.

We’re still unsure about the exact nature of the problem, but you can try increasing the WP Memory Limit as recommended by Elementor or resaving your site’s permalinks under the Settings -> Permalinks menu.

Hi there, i don’t get an error message, the gray folder icon simply isn’t there when I try to create the header template. I tried to upload a screenshot but it doesn’t let me upload files.

    Hello @chellzo,

Could we know which plugins are active on your site? If possible, you could try deactivating all plugins except for the Elementor and Envato plugins. We suspect this issue might be caused by a conflict with another plugin. Before doing this, make sure you’ve backed up your data so it can be restored if any unintended issues arise.

Also here are the plugins that I have on my site. My site is using the Hello Elementor theme and is created and hosted on 10web

i also tried deactivating all the plugins except elementor, envato and 10web backup but it still didn’t work

Hi Chellzo, I don’t know if you got a resolution; this drove me nuts for a couple of days as well as I could not find the grey folder. Ive just worked out the key step they have left out in their instructions is to click on the edit option (the pencil) once you add the condition.. that will take you through to the Elementor builder, which gives you the grey folder to add your templated widgets or pages. Hope that helps! Cheers

    Hi all,

I’ve had the same issue and here’s what worked for me.
If Hello Elementor is the default theme, go to Appearance and click Theme Settings. Then, I toggled (on) “Disable cross-site header & footer”.
I had a few hiccups, when editing the header. After loading the template, it would serve an error saying it could not be loaded. What I did was redo the edit by clicking on pencil icon and changing page layout to Elementor Full Width FIRST before loading the template itself. So far so good.

    Hello Everyone,

We apologize for the delay in our response and for any inconvenience you’ve experienced.

Previously, to create a header template, we’ve created a video tutorial that you can watch below.

    https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_yM9-Gl2AgtPlYaEB_649NtH2BBedDmY/view?usp=sharing

If you encounter errors like Elementor Editor not functioning correctly, you can try re-saving your site’s permalinks to regenerate them.

If re-saving the permalinks doesn’t resolve the issue, please attempt to deactivate all plugins except Elementor and Jeg Elementor Kit. There’s a possibility that features might not be working as expected due to conflicts between plugins.

These steps are usually the common initial troubleshooting procedures when encountering errors or non-functioning features on your site. If none of these steps work, we would need information about the theme you’re using or the server specifications you’ve configured, as well as details on how to replicate the issue, so we can better understand the problem.

If any of you still face challenges, please don’t hesitate to inform us, providing clear information to help us replicate the issue.

We will await further updates from all of you.

    Thank You
