Can’t issue refund automatically?

Yes, you can manually issue a refund with this plugin. Next to the manual refund button is the payment gateway refund button.

That’s not what I asked. I asked if you CAN’T issue automatic refunds. It just says “manual” instead of being able to automatically refund back to PayPal.

Where does it say “manual”?

If that’s not what you’re asking, please provide more details on what your definition of an automatic refund is. Are you talking about a refund being issued if the order’s status set to cancelled or something?

Hmmm ok I didn’t have that. It just said ‘manual’. Can you tell me, does your PayPal plugin have a specific designation code, such as “paid with ppap-plugin” so I can identify it?

If the order hasn’t been paid for, you will only see the refund manually button. Make sure the order was actually paid for using the PayPal plugin. There will be a transaction ID link at the top of the order details page if the order was paid for. And it will say “Paid via PayPal”.

It was paid for, I double checked in PayPal. The reason I’m asking about the code is, this could have been done with another plugin prior to switching to yours and I guess in that case the button might not be available for an automatic refund. I believe it said “paid with paypal ppec”.

The button won’t be available if the payment was made using a plugin that’s now disabled.

That is not our plugin. Our plugin uses an identifier of PPCP.
