can’t install WP 2.7

Hi everyone. I did write last week but had no success, so here i go again asking for your help.
I am installing WP 2.7.
I am using the Video’s of “Becomeablogger” very good video’s.
I am on video 4 and the instructions which are actually for version 2.6.3 , even though wordpress suggests downloading WP 2.7.. so I did.
He then says: go to wordpress and unzip the folder… did that.
he then says to go to my website writing in web name plus /cpanel.
I do that and I get a notice telling me HTTP 404 files not found. and Woops the link seems to be broken.
I don’t know how to progress from here… please help me someone.
