    Hi
I’m getting 500 errors on a site but only in WP Admin. If I remove WordFence all seems OK and if I reinstall the 500 errors return.

    /wp-admin/plugins.php?plugin_status=all&paged=1&s [HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error 819ms]

    Regards

Hello @netinsites and thanks for reaching out to us!

If you are getting 500 errors with Wordfence enabled, it sounds like the wordfence-waf.php has either moved or the auto_prepend_file is pointed to the wrong location.

Using FTP or your file manager, check your htaccess file and your user.ini file, and find the auto_prepend_file line located in the #WORDFENCE tag, it should be pointing to your wordfence-waf.php in the root.

Also, verify that your wordfence-waf.php exists.

Let me know what you find!

    Thanks!

Thanks @wfadam for the guidance on where to look. It was the WordFence WAF code section missing from the htaccess file.
    Appreciate it!
    Cheers
