can't install theme from the dashboard

    when i go to appearance theme install theme and make a filtered search I get this message

    ”An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with www.remarpro.com or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums.

    Try again ”

    I’ve had it for a long time, I usually find the theme on the net download it, upload it and then it works but I’d like to solve this problem once and for all.

    My WordPress is up-to-date.I installed it with Filezilla.

    no, I can upload it through WordPress interface which seems to me quicker.

    what I can’t do is browsing the themes directly from WordPress : I have to go to other websites (which increase the risk of stumbling upon unofficial theme).

    Did you try reinstalling WordPress (except wp-content)? That will probably solve the problem.

    I checked the page you sent and it’s the same filtered search as in wordpress so It’s fine.

    The wordpress I’m on was installed last week.

    I had previously the same problem with other install of wordpress.

    I’m a bit afraid of reinstalling as I could loose my content.

    Reinstalling will not make any loss of content. Still you can backup your database for reinstalling if anything goes wrong.
