Can’t install latest update

I’m out of maintenance mode via a restore.
If I try and reinstall and get stuck will deleting the maintenance file ensure the update is installed?

We are not familiar with your site or set-up. We are not sure what would happen if you delete that file. We would suggest speaking with your host provider to learn more about what expected behaviors are associated when deleting that file.
