    Hi william,

Please try to deactivate and delete the plugin first. Then, from WP dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New. Then search simple drop cap, install and activate the plugin.

Let me know if it works.

Hi, Mauris! I appreciate your getting back to me so quickly. However, your advice is not really helpful. I can’t deactivate the plugin, because I can’t install it at all. Can’t upload it. So I have never had the chance to activate or deactivate it.
I am using Instant Wordperfect, in an offline, localhost application, so I have to upload plugins from the plugins folder. And the plugin will not upload.

    Hi Bill,

I never use Instant Wordperfect so I can’t tell the exact steps that should be taken. I am using XAMPP on Windows machine and these are the steps to install WordPress plugin in localhost XAMPP/WAMP environment:

    1. Download plugin .zip and extract it.
    2. Copy extracted folder ‘simple-drop-cap’ to ‘/wp-content/plugins/’ folder.
    3. Log in to WP dashboard, go to plugins.
    4. Activate the plugin.

Is there any difference in instant Wordperfect?
