Can’t install any plugins

  • Not sure what’s happening. I tried installing plugins (sexy bookmarks) via Plugins > Add New and they seemed to “install” but then they just got stuck for over five minutes saying it was downloading. So, I tried a nother (sociable) and the same thing happened. I am familiar with both and they usually take several seconds to install. I waited and waited for over five minutes and just closed out. Then, I tried uploading the folder to the plugins folder, but Admin still won’t acknowledge it.

    Also, I have the automatic upgrade plugin intalled and activated, but it’s not showing on the top with a link to upgrade underneath the WP upgrade notification like it usually does when there’s an upgrade. There’s only the WP upgrade??

    Not even sure how to diagnose the problem.

  • deactivate the auto upgrade plugin as it will conflict with the wordpress auto upgrade function now built in

    I have it active on a bunch of other sites and it’s working fine. I’ve tried the WP auto upgrade and can’t seem to get it to work on this or any site.

    Any idea about the sexy bookmarks or sociable plugins? It seems like none of them are working.
