Can't Insert Images Into Posts

    I’m on WP 3.2.1. All of a sudden, i can’t insert images into posts. I’ve tried disabling all plugins, clearing the cache, reinstalling WordPress, but no luck.

    The “insert media” buttons in the post editor just don’t work. Well, that’s not entirely true – when I click on “add media” (the one to the far right of the four buttons), I am taken to the “Add media files from your computer” prompt, but it takes up the entire screen – the rest of the post editor goes away. And I still can’t insert images into the post from here.

    I’ve searched other posts, but haven’t found any that were similar to mine that were resolved. Any assistance here would be much appreciated!

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

    Switching themes fixed it. Very odd. When I switch back to my main theme, it’s broken again. Thanks for your help!
