Can’t Insert Images

  • Hello all,

    A couple months ago when I designed my site at https://www.mirandaaschenbrenner.com all worked well. Now that I’m trying to edit it, I can’t insert photos.

    When I go to insert an image, I am able to select the image I want, but when I click “insert” all I get is an empty white box with the dimmed webpage in the background. When I click away, it takes me back to the page, but with no image.

    I’ve tried to trouble shoot this but can’t find any solution. I’m getting the same thing on my laptop and my desktop, on internet explorer and firefox. I’ve tried clearing my browser’s cache and that hasn’t worked either.

    Any other ideas?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems?

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress?

    Thanks for the suggestions… in the end, I upgraded to the most recent version of WordPress and that seems to have done the trick!
