I Am using twenty thirteen theme and have updated all themes and plugins and prior to updating plugins I deactivated and reactivated plugins for kruzon.com and I am unable to insert images by either upload and the library doesn’t show any images. I tried to import to header image and now to google knowledge logo image it just sits there and with the spinning circle object spinning and never opens and does not add an uploaded image to the library. I’ve read all the related subject topics and find none of them to be exactly this problem.

My Bluehost account shows images exist in the wp/wp-content/uploads/folders.

What is the no access solution?

Today I deleted all folders from my root of kruzon.com and started over from scratch. This 3 page site took 5 hours but I now have Moesia theme working properly.

It is possible that the problem I was experiencing with image insert or uplaod failing was related to the fact i was running plugins WordPress SEO by yoast and Add meta tags. This time I say a warning while insatalling Add meta Tags that there may be conflict running both of these on a single site. I installed both but did not activate Add meta Tags plugin this time.

    Happy it’s working.

Same issue can’t upload or insert from image library on different site https://www.thaicookingschoolbkk.com theme twenty thirteen. I had working site with no problems located in thaicookingschoolbkk.com/WP/ folder. I installed new WordPress by one click installs with bluehost to the root folder https://www.thaicookingschool.bkk. I copied the wp-content and the wp-config.php from the /WP/ folder to the root folder. The site displayed fine. I moved the /WP/ folder to history and the site header customization (image) disappeared. Moved the /WP/ folder back to the root folder and the image reappeared and site is again working fine. Just for fun I opened the customization option while signed into the root folder WordPress installation admin.php and I can’t access any images (they won’t open) I can’t upload images either. I have confirmed the images do exist in the root wp-content uploads folders so what’s the fix? Why can’t I remove the /WP/ folder without the header picture disappearing and why on a brand new install does the image have no pictures? If I go into the image folder in the admin panel and I change from icon view to list view the images will show with small icon picture and description but still can’t access them from page insert media.

Nothing like answering your own questions, eh .. The guilty plug in is Smart Google Analytics deactivated in the root installation and the image folder works fine.

Unfortunately if I remove the original installation /WP/ folder the header image disappears from the site even though it is shows installed in the root folder installation customization.

Why is the new install header image dependent on the (original) old /WP/ folder installation of wordpress?

I changed https://www.thaicookingschoolbkk.com theme to moesia and customized it. Then moved the /WP/ folder to backup and the images within the home page were missing. So reinserted them from the insert image library which is working. Strange though the classes page images worked without re-installing them. Go figure. It appears that if I had re-customized the new install and the theme copied in the wp-contents folder and deactivated google analytics plugin then removed the /WP/ folder the can’t upload or insert images problem may not have existed.

I have the exact same problem that you had with kruzon.com. I ruled out plugin problem and did a reinstall from the wordpress dashboard without luck. Like you I am concern about losing data if I do a fresh install from scratch. Extremely frustrated with wordpress and its support as there is no clear solution to a very common problem.

What is the best approach to fix this problem? Please advise as many users are having this problem and you seem to shed a light to solve it. Thanks in advance
