Can't insert gallery onto a page

  • I am new to Next Gen Gallery but I can’t seem to find the insert button when trying to put the gallery on a page or post. I clicked the icon on the options bar but can’t find a way to actually insert the chosen gallery. There is only a “save” button. Clicking save does not insert the gallery.
    My next gen version is 2.0.33 if that matters.
    I am also running an elegant theme if that is the cause as I did see problem associated with elegant themes.

    @sacoulson – Please update to the latest version of NextGEN Gallery (2.0.57) although that should not be relevant to this particular issue.

    As far as I have tested, Elegant Themes releases are not having any issues with the ATP (Attach to Post) button at the far right of the first icon row in the Visual editor tab.

    I have created a gallery and click the icon in the visual editor. After selecting the gallery I want to display I click Save but nothing happen at all. I have looked at documentation to assure I didn’t miss anything but no idea why when I click save gallery is not inserted.

    @sacoulson – Based on what you are describing …

    … are you selecting the gallery to be displayed in the “What would you like to display?” panel before you click the Save button?

    Yes. I select Galleries and then the actual gallery that I want displayed. Then click save…and nothing happens. It doesn’t even leave the gallery screen as I assume it should close when I click save.

    @sacoulson – Is it possible there is a conflict with another active plugin, have you checked if that is the case?

    All my plugins are turned off so its not a plugin conflict.

    I noticed that my Sort and Exclude image section is empty with the message “No entities to display for this source.”

    Is that normal?

    Don’t know if this might be related. I realize I should have put this here before making the separate thread…sorry.

    I got an error when trying to upload images to a new gallery to see if my galleries don’t work.
    Error Message when uploading images to gallery said:

    An unexpected error occured. This is most likely due to a server misconfiguration. Check your PHP error log or ask your hosting provider for assistance.
