I’ve created and successfully previewed a tree, but when I go to my page and attempt to insert the shortcode, I can’t do it. I can click on the tree and get a box, but there are no trees appearing in the dropdown menu. Is there a way to see the individual tree’s ID number so that I can put in the shortcode manually?

  • Same problem here! It looks like a problem with Javascript? The insert-button is not displayed.

I also noticed that the buttons in visual editor disappeared when I installed Decision Tree and I could not switch form visual editor to text editor. I had to deactivate the plugin.

@support: how can this be solved?

    Thanks,
    Yvon

bethfalk – That’s odd! Sorry your having problems. I just did some testing and realized that we don’t require a title on our DTs. Can you go to YOURBLOG.COM/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=decision_tree (replacing YOURBLOG with your URL) and do you see DTs called “(no title)”? If yes, click on it, give it a tittle, save, and go and try to insert the DT in a post or page. They should have titles.

If not, please report back and we’ll look into it some more!

ykruger1 – Sorry – unless you’re having the *exact* same issue, please open another thread. Thanks!

bethfalk – ah yes! You’d asked about deriving the IDs of the DTs. If you go and edit one, you’ll see the ID in the URL. For example, the ID of this one is 14:

    YOURBLOG.COM/wp-admin/post.php?post=14&action=edit

And then you’d use this shortcode in your post:

    [decisiontree id="14"]

    bethfalk – any updates?

bethfalk – Since we haven’t heard back from you, I’m going to close this. however, if you’re still having the problem *PLEASE* get back to us! We’d love to help.
