Can't import photos

  • I’m trying to import a batch of 12 photos from a folder on my desktop WordPress starts to import when I select them — the little blue bar creeps about 1/4 way and stops. Doesn’t load. Happens sometimes when I’m only loading 1 photo. Sometimes if I log out and log back in it will upload 1 pix, but then it stops again. WordPress has been acting buggy for the past week and a half for me. Any solutions? BTW – I tried upgrading to the new version, but it totally messed up my whole site and I had to have my host revert to an old version to get it back and running.

  • how large are the images? By default, most wordpress installs have a 2 meg limit on file size. You can have your host increase this. But before you do, you should try resizing your images. If they are straight out of a camera, they are way too big for a website. Reduce them to max width of 1280px.

    I resize them before importing — they’re 600×600
