  • Got the same problem here.

Domain URL claimed, I’m administrator for the app – which I’ve already used to another plugin – and login with Facebook doesn’t work.

Thank you guys for reporting. This issue is being fixed. I expect to release a new version in the next few hours.

    You are welcome, Diego.

Btw, I made another Facebook app and tried to auth this new one with Facebook Login button in the plugin page.

It worked, but when I choose my fanpage in the next screen, got a new error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_parse_url() in /home/bit/public_html/wp-content/plugins/fb-instant-articles/settings/class-instant-articles-settings.php on line 141

That’s another error. What’s your WP version?

My currently WordPress version is 4.3.3

Also, with the new fatal error I can’t even load the plugin page. If I try, it gives me the same message.

    ## EDIT

Ok, I just updated WordPress to 4.5 and now everything seems fine. Sorry for being so noob :p

Creating another app worked for me. The old app I was using was the one I use for my blog’s FB comments.

I’ll also try to make it compatible with 4.3+ on v2.6, stay tuned =)

Thank you all so much for the help!

@sba7elfol, can you give some step-by-step instruction on the app creation? I tried and I couldn’t get it to work. It was asking for some permissions also.

    @cris2016
Facebook For Developers > My apps > Add a New App > Website > Type a name for your app > Create New Facebook App ID

Then go inside your new app > Settings > Enter your domain under “App Domains” and “Site URL” the “Save Changes”.

Then use its App ID and App Secret in the plugin

I got the wrong Facebook page ID via Instant Articles plugin.

WordPress 4.4.2 + Instant Articles for WP 2.5, thanks.

@pseric, if you are talking about an error when you try to claim the url, I think I got the same error. I waited a minute and pressed it again and it went through. Maybe try it again. If you do a view source on your homepage you should be able to see the “fb:pages” meta tag.

    Hi adplugg and Pseric,

The error with the App ID was fixed in v2.7

Please reopen if you still experience issues after upgrading.

    Thank you!

Hey, so I’m not sure if I’m just too un-savvy to figure this out, but I’ve tried everything and I’m getting a “Permissions error” at the top of my WordPress back-end when I try to press the button “Submit For Review”

I’ve tried other WordPress sites that I have and the same issue happens, I’ve even tried using a different app ID and the same thing continues to happen.

I tried to figure it out, but can’t seem to figure it out.

I’m working for Riviton.com, and my client with the indicated issues have happened on TheMeowPost.com and TheMeowPost.co.

I have the latest version of WordPress and the plugin. I hope you can help as I’ve tried many things with no luck.

    Thanks for your help!
