Can’t go wrong using this plugin

A simple thing, editing a file. The .htaccess file though can cause all kinds of problems if not done right. The .htaccess file is the “first” file read and if edits are not done correctly, the site can go down… immediately!

As the plugin not only allows edits to be made but will also check the syntax, it helps when making changes to the .htaccess file a lot less nerve wracking. Documentation is sparse but the information provided is helpful and links provided for further reading/understanding of the .htaccess file.

Please note that although not mentioned within the Plugin itself, for security reasons it should at a minimum–be disabled when not going to be used. Removing it is best practice as one should not be making a lot of frequent changes to the .htaccess files anyway.
