Is your domain also registered through Hostgator? Have your done your DNS settings right?

Yes my domain is registered through hostgator…I was given a tutorial for doing my DNS settings and I’m pretty sure I did it correctly but maybe I didn’t.

If so it takes some time for the domain name to propagate. Wait for some more time and try again. There is nothing to worry about.

I hope that’s all it’ll take! I’ll try to be more patient, thanks for your advice though!

I have been having the same problem so I am relieved to see I am not the only one. I AM SO FRUSTRATED. I’ve been trying to get logged into wordpress since about 11pm last night and it is now currently 10:30 am the next morning where I’m at. I’ve followed all of the tutorials online, I’ve done all the troubleshooting, I’ve uninstalled and tried re-installing 3 times. The first two times I used quickinstall. I click on the link provided by wordpress once it says my installation was complete and when it takes me to the link it says “server failed to communicate, try again”…and “the web page at https://www.julierajcichdesigns.com/wp-admin/ might be temporarily down or it may have moved.”
Is there anything else I can try or is this a wordpress site problem?

1. Please tell us the name of your domain registrar. Did you buy the domain also through Hostgator?
2. Can you login to your Hostgator account?
3. For hosting which domain you signed up with Hostgator?

1. I registered my domain name with namecheap.com

2. I have no problem logging into my hostgator account control panel and was able to successfully install wordpress to my hostgator account. I received an email from wordpress stating that my installation was complete and it gave me a user name and password to complete wordpress installation.

3. For hosting I signed up with hostgator for JulieRajcichDesigns.com

Do you know of any legal disputes about the ownership of the domain?

That is right. Now check up your DNS settings. If DNS settings are not right your site cannot propagate. I think you know how to do that.

Thank you…had a hostgator representative guide me through how to do that. So now I will need to wait awhile for my site to propagate, correct? Does that take a couple days or just a couple hours?

It can be a couple of days to a couple of hours. However, wait for one or two hours and check back.
