Can't get to admin log-in

  • My site is bringing up this error code:
    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or ‘}’ in /home/content/r/o/n/rondauphin/html/wp-content/plugins/lightbox-plus/classes/shd.class.php on line 85

    I think I can eliminate the “lightbox plugin” to solve the problem, but I don’t know how to log in. The usual login with boxes for username and password is not showing up, only the error message. Is there another way to get to the login screen?

  • Can you access the site via FTP? If so, login to your ftp, navigate to the plugins folder and delete the lightbox-plus plugin.

    That should get rid of the error and you should be able to see the admin login screen once again.

    Thank you, crondeau. That solved the problem. I was able to access the site through my hosting company via FTP and delete the offending plugin. It took me directly to the admin login screen.
