Can't get to Admin area after upgrade

  • Ran the upgrade today and when I try to get to the admin area I get:

    This is somewhat embarrassing, isn’t it?

    Then when I go to /wp-admin/ I get this:

    Database Update Required

    WordPress has been updated! Before we send you on your way, we have to update your database to the newest version.

    The update process may take a little while, so please be patient.

    With an “Update Word Press database” button. Each time I click to upgrade it takes me to:

    This is somewhat embarrassing, isn’t it?

    And the cycle continues.
