Can’t get the data from a Custom Post Type

  • Hi!

    I’m trying to use your plugin but I don’t get how it works.

    1. I’ve created a ACF.
    2. Then I created some Custom Post Type entries where I display the fields from ACF.
    3. And now I’m trying to display each Custom Post Type in a standard page with your plugin.

      4. But the plugin doesn’t let to select the Custom Post type as a source in the “Get field data from” selector. I just have this option: “This post / page”.

      I can select the field group, the field name, but not the source.

      Is possible to do this with the plugin? Or maybe I missing something.

    Hi @axsu,

    The reason you can’t choose your custom post type is that the plugin isn’t capable of it right now.
    Don’t know if it will solve your problem but it works with WPBakery grid builder.

    The Reason there is a field called “get field data from” is because you have the opportunity to retrieve data from acf option page.

    But I write on my todo list that it should be possible to retrieve data from other post types.
    I don’t know when I’ll be able to get this ready as my todo list is getting a bit long, but hopefully, I’ll get a look at it this Saturday or the next few weeks.

    Grid Builder doesn’t solve my problem because it shows elements that I don’t want to. What I’m trying to achieve is to show every field that I have in my Custom Post Type, that previously I set in ACF.

    any update on when this will be added?

    (Not meaning to be rude, but I can’t see the point of this plugin unless you can pull data fields from other Posts/Pages. Please don’t get me wrong, this plugin has great potential – just need to be able to select other Page/Post sources)

    Grid Builder is not something I need.

    Unfortunately, I can not say when I will get this added.
    My day job takes up all my time at the moment.
    But I will try and see if I can find time for it in the near future.
