I installed the plugin yesterday and have tried to create a staging site several times now, but I can’t seem to get the process to complete. Once it hits an error, it seems to post that error message in the working log over and over without moving on.

First, I was getting errors with 2 specific tables (both of which I have now excluded, even though I definitely want one of them to be cloned).

Next, I was getting some errors with certain files. I reduced the File Copy Batch Size from 2 to 1 and eventually excluded my entire 6 GB wp-content directory (even though I’d like to clone it), hoping to get this to complete, even without all of those files.

Now I am getting a fatal error in the Replace Links step – basically this over and over:
Tuesday 12th January 2016 : 11:56:36pm] Updating table _wp_ has been failed.

I love the concept of this plugin, and am hoping I can adjust my settings in a way that this will become a one click solution for me (and not require me to exclude so many things).

I have enabled debug mode and can send you the log files, in case that helps, but be warned – they are massive (maybe because I have had this running in the background and it keeps writing the same error message over and over).

Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Mark

This is the exact error message:

Fatal Error code: 1001. This should not happen. Please try again!

    Hi Rogue,

may i ask you to try out my latest wp staging version? You find it on github. (There are chances that latest version catches your issues):
    https://github.com/WP-Staging/wp-staging/archive/master.zip

Download this file and rename it to wp-staging.com. Than uninstall the old current wp-staging plugin and install the latest version.

Alternatively you can extract the zip files and overwrite the files via ftp in folder plugins/wp-staging

Please try also the following for a first test:

Exclude the folder /wp-content/uploads and all folders which are containing huge files like backup ones and so on.

Please reach me out at support [at] wp-staging.com and tell me if this worked for you.

[For anyone else reading this, the downloaded file needs to be renamed wp-staging.zip not .com]

Hi Rene – Thanks for the assistance! I will reply to you via email.
