Cant get RTMP To work

I cant seem to get RTMP to work at all… or HLS.
I have used a combo of the links below with no avail..
rtmp://dmv.samplesite.com/livepkgr/livestream?adbe-live-event=liveevent
https://dmv.samplesite.com:8134/hls-live/livepkgr/_definst_/liveevent/livestream.m3u8
I was using these in a code to play the video so i know they work.. What syntax is the plugin looking for in the link??
