I have a custom post type (Events) from the All in One Calendar plugin, I have enabled every option listed for the and can’t get the role to be able to “publish” a post. They can only Submit for Review. I have tried enabling publish and edit for all other capabilities related to “Posts” and only enable features I don’t want them to see, and still can only Submit for Review their events. What am I missing I even purchased the Plus package to see if that would help me for this issue.

  • Hi lasdscott,

I’m not sure how All in One Calendar works but it is quite possible that it requires administrator privileges to publish events.

Try to do next experiment. Create a custom role and inherit all settings from Administrator role. In addition create a custom capability administrator and make sure that it is checked for your custom role. From here, assign user to that role and see if he is available to publish event. If yes, then uncheck all capabilities that you do not want your user role to have and you good to go.

    Regards,
    Vasyl
